Lesson 12: Unleash Your Superhero
Time: 60 minutes
Materials: Lesson 12 video; The Daily Doodle digital notebook.
Overview: Students construct more of their character’s headdresses and unleash their superhero.
They refer back to the superpowers they previously identified for their characters. They learn about different superhero types, such as The Healer or The Protector, and select a few that could best represent their characters.
Students add the cardboard patterns that they previously made to their headdresses.
They make new shapes, icons and symbols to further reveal what superhero powers their characters possess. Students add those shapes to their headdresses using V-shapes, L-shaped and T-shaped brackets, if necessary, to attach shapes at different angles.
